Build your brand like Coca-Cola!

I did do a poll on linkednl to further strengthen how I think consumers feel and what makes them do what they do.

I was right.

It’s marketing psychology.

To know what to place side by side with your brand you have to find out what consumers prefer and how they do prefer what they want.

Every product is one way or the other linked to another hence research for collaborations to further propel brand growth.

Same way you won’t see a commercial over stretching or even showing a link between Coca-Cola and bread because bread psychologically is thought of as a breakfast food, but rice more of a lunch thing, so collaboratively Coca-Cola will create adverts linking itself with lunch food like rice, soup etc.

It’s the same way tea will not collaborate with Amala. Because in the world of Nigerians, tea is a breakfast food.

The customer trail hence for Coca-Cola will be rice, soup, snack, never bread.

While for non Nigerians, coffee can go morning, noon and night.

I don’t know if I made as much sense as I hoped to have but there you have it.

It’s all psychological.

Brand imagery is how people think about the brand psychology or imaginary.

No one imagines rice and tea readily well except they just want to do or try out something crazy 😁.

Consumers must react positively to your brand and you must emotionally evoke that positivity.

Brand imagery many times is triggered by said images particularly and enticingly used by the brand to appeal to psychology and emotions of consumers/users like you and I.

Smart brands win in this game and Coca-Cola is a smart brand.

The good thing is they didn’t start out as winners, they merely evolved, payed attention and grew.
